Terms of Service

By creating an account and using Jobholster ("the app"), you agree to these terms.

1. The service

The app is a tool for contractors to organize client information. It is provided "as is" and "as available." The operator does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

2. Your responsibilities

Keep your sign-in credentials and encryption passphrase secure. The operator cannot recover a lost passphrase.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the client data you enter, including whether you have permission to store names, phone numbers, addresses, and recorded conversations under the laws of your jurisdiction.
You will not use the app to harass, threaten, defraud, or otherwise harm anyone, including the people whose information you store.
You will not attempt to access other users' data, probe the app's security, or circumvent rate limits.

3. AI extraction and third-party services

AI features are enabled by default for every signed-in user. Your messages and matching information are forwarded through the operator's AI proxy to a third-party large-language-model provider for processing. The provider's API key is held by the operator — the app does not accept user-supplied API keys, and per-account monthly usage caps are enforced server-side by the proxy. Your use of the AI provider's service through the proxy is still governed by that provider's terms of service. AI-extracted data is generated by a third-party model and may be incorrect; you are responsible for verifying it before acting on it.

4. Data and backups

You retain all rights to the data you enter. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Your data. The operator may perform routine backups for disaster recovery but does not guarantee data restoration in any specific timeframe. Maintain your own export if your data is critical.

5. Account termination

You may permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app under Account → Delete my account. If you cannot access the app, see delete-account.html for an email-based deletion request process. The operator may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that consume disproportionate resources, or that the operator reasonably suspects of fraud or abuse, with or without notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid the operator for the app in the prior twelve months (which, if the app is provided free of charge, is zero). The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

7. No warranty

The app is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The operator does not warrant that AI-extracted data is correct — you should verify it before relying on it for business decisions.

8. Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms. Material changes will surface a notice in the app on next sign-in. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business.

10. Contact

The operator of your hosted copy is responsible for keeping their contact details current on the Privacy Policy page.
